The Sunday Confession Booth started life as a mailing list, until the running costs rendered it unviable. The Booth now lives on my Patreon, accessed by paid members on any tier.
THE BOOTH COULDN'T BE SIMPLER:
I message patrons every Sunday at 7pm GMT to ask what your greatest achievements were over the last seven days, and what you hope to achieve during the next seven.
If you want to, you can reply and answer these questions.
People tell me they find that the Booth helps them with motivation and accountability, perhaps because they know the questions are coming every Sunday. Some have even told me it's helped them secure paid work.
THE FIRST AND ONLY RULE OF THE SUNDAY CONFESSION BOOTH:
If you're a writer, you must never tell me any specifics about the stories you're working on. No log lines, no character names, no titles, nothing. If you do, you'll put me in an awkward legal situation and I'll regretfully have to remove you from the list. If I'm already working on a similar story to yours, for instance, then things could get messy.
So what can you tell me? The genre's fine. Tell me you've written five chapters of your paranormal romance story/script. That's fine. But what I mainly want to hear is how many words, chapters, script pages, illustrations, songs, photos or just good old-fashioned work you've achieved this week. Also, how you feel about what you've done.
Right! Now we've got that dull but vital rule out of the way, it's time for you to 10X your weekly motivation and sense of accountability by joining us on Patreon for as little as £2 per month.
Would you prefer a community specificially full of other writers? Be sure to join my Skool community The Phantasia Lounge while it's still free.
